Migraine Headache Food triggers
More food to avoid would be most foods that are high in GI, particularly dates (103), Jasmine rice (109), and potatoes, amongst others. Also, I would suggest minimising intake of food which is acidifying (eg. grains, dairy, most animal meat - particularly Pork: http://www.ucg.org/articles/clean/health.html , some legumes, alcohol, drugs and chemicals). Eggs can also be a major trigger of migraines, although some people find that they can actually tolerate Certified Organic eggs with no problem at all. Avoidance of refined sugar as much as possible is very important. Sugar can be replaced with a natural herb, Stevia - said to be sweeter than sugar, and actually supports the pancreas rather than stressing it as sugar does. For information Stevia, see: http://www.nexusmagazine.com/stevia.html . Also, don't put any food in a microwave, not even to reheat or defrost. Microwaved food apparently becomes very toxic.
With regards to food, many patients have found that adherence to the blood type diet may be quite helpful.
